4 in 1 Hucard
King of Casino, Super Volley Ball, Kyûkyoku Tiger
and Hot Blood High School Dodgeball
I wish official released games also used this feature. Listen to this : the tiny
HuCard you can see on the left offers four complete games. FOUR COMPLETE GAMES !
It includes King of Casino, Super Volley Ball, Kyûkyoku Tiger
and Hot Blood High School Dodgeball. So now we understand a bit more how they managed
to fit all of them in one HuCard. They are all 2Mbits. So, 4 times 2, ok, we
have here a 8Mbit HuCard ... no magic was involved after all.
The Hucard front label and the main box cover both look
really cheap. As with Ninja Spirit, the Hucard label
seems to be a simple sticker and the edges of the picture
are slightly damaged. But the black area next to the
connectors is surprisingly smooth unlike other pirates I have seen, no visible
electronics this time. The game did not come with any
instructions but maybe the original version did.

The awkward part though is the way how you switch from one
game to the next. You need to... switch OFF the console and turn it back ON.
Thanks god we are not dealing here with a 200-in-1.
I was lucky enough to find this one complete with
the box. Interestingly, the game has the serial number
TL89003. However, this serial number is quite
confusing, I am wondering what TL stands for. The next two digits, 89 in our case,
often stand for a date but games like King of Casino and
Super Volley Ball were officially released in Japan back in 1990.
Finally, and this is more interesting, 003 probably means
this card has two other sisters, or brothers depending how you see it... but let's talk about this
later.

Now let's look at the box and at the spine where the
PC-CARD logo is clearly visible. The same name can also be
found at the back of the HuCard. Note the PC-CARD name
instead of the usual HuCard.
No.3 is also clearly written on the spine, so this confirms the
serial number and at least two other cards must exist, TL89001
and TL89002... sort of. Keep reading. This serial number has always
puzzled me. But I can now elucidate some of the mystery related to
it. From all the PC-GAME I have found, and from
all the ones that have a serial number, this serial number is always the same.
Always TL89003. I wonder if they only produced the same series of labels
for all those pirates in order to make they look a bit more "genuine".

The back of the card displays PC-CARD instead of
he usual HuCard.

Finally, and this is really spooky. All the copyright information
and logos have been removed from the games !
The above picture was taken from the 4-in-1 HuCard.
The picture on the bottom is from the original game.
Notice how the copyright information has been carefully cleaned up.
The same applies to all the other games on the card.
