The Goodies section opens up with something that really sets Japan apart from the rest of the world. Video Game soundtracks have only 'recently' become popular in the west, but even back in the mid 1980s, Japanese players could already listen to their favorite game soundtracks on tape or vinyl records. Japan was already considering video games as something more than mere toys.
